Cue the lights and start the music. Lady's and gentleman, please take your seats as the show is about to begin. The greates show on earth is about a circus group entertaining the country with personal dramas and issues. When the owner of the show, brad, needs a new act, he hires the great sebastion to bring in customers. Sabastion ends up meeting the bosses girl, Holly, when he steals her spotlight. Holly is a spirited acrobatic circus performer who says what she thinks.
This film is full of characters, subplots, and many performances. Its like going to the circus for free! The movie is 152 minutes long with a cast consisting of: Betty Hutton, Charlton Heston, Gloria Grahame, and James Stewart, the actor from "Its a Wonderful Life."
I love this movie for so many reasons, but its entertaining, has real circus animals and stunts! The characters are so fun to watch and I love love love the ending.
The movie was produced in 1952 and won 2 Oscars. One for best picture, the other for best motion picture story.
